Were you sad when you found that you had to shop in the toddler section for clothing?
I went to buy some new clothes for my son who is 8 months at Target the other day and immediately went to the “infant” section. I found myself sad that his size is in the toddler section now. He’s in 12M clothing. Am I the only ridiculous mother that feels like this?

your just sad that your baby boy is growing up
why would i that my child duh i wouldn’t feel ridiculous
yes , my daughters 2 and i still want to go in the infant section
no your not the only one. my daughter will be 3 in december and i just had to register her for preschool today. and i still head for the infant section if im not thinking about it.
I think this must be normal, my daughter will be 19 months next week and I am so sad that she is growing so fast, she no longer takes bottles, she wears most 18-24 months clothes and as I shop for more warmer clothes for fall and winter coming up, I find myself buying the 2T so she can grow into them, it is so sad that the baby things are disappearing. We even started potty training last month…where as the time gone and that is why we as mothers have to enjoy every minute and put house work 2nd and the children 1st because before we know it they will be in school
No its not ridiculous. Its even sadder when you have to go to the big kid section
Its sad cause its a sure sign they are growing up. I had to go to toddler at 5 months for our son cause he went to 12 months. Now hes in 18 and 24 months at 9 months old….Gonna be in that big kid section for him soon too…..
I went into a store and the salesperson said “your looking in the baby section, the bigger sizes are over here” …I was so sad! I was shopping for 12 mos too
Nope, I wasn’t sad at all. I love to see my little man growing up.
I’m surprised that not only am I one of the very few who are not sad that their child is growing normally, people give me thumbs downs for saying that I love to see my little man growing up! Nice, ladies!
Haha. Mine practically came out wearing the toddler section! My son was in 12 months at 4 months. He was just a huge child, solid as a rock. My daughter did wait until she was about 7 months to be in 12 month clothing, but still. I consider the 12-24 months still baby. Since sizing is so variable. I was sad, however, when they started needing 2T and on up. My 15 month old son wears a 2T now. It kinda makes me sad.
Not really
. But then again, I have a new baby, so I still get to go to the infant section…
Your just realizing you little boy is growing up.

Awww that’s so cute, I am not there yet but I am dreading it only because i love him being my little guy however they are also reaching another wonderful age where u will see ur child getting big enough to run around in snow and when he or she slips, it will be you ur child will coming running too to make it better, I am just getting ready to puty mine into 6 months to 9 months clothing so i have a little while yet i guess.
xx
yes, my son has always been off the charts long. He was never in newborn clothes, and grew out of 9 month clothes by 4 months. I can barely find any “baby” clothes to fit him at all anymore. He’s only 10 months, but is wearing 24 month and 2T already. I also reminisce when shopping for my daughter. She is 3 now, and I still stop by the baby girl section to check out all the cute little dresses like she used to wear.
I know what you mean! I can remember when I was pregnant with my now 18 month old and thinking she would never be big enough for 2T. They grow SOO fast!
